The BASIC

  • 2 OR 3 Evenings (Last evening is the Exam. If unable to attend, you can write any other time).
  • Theory, Practical & Exam on the m/v Beldis at Madeira Park Gov't Dock C, OR at the COPPER SKY CAFEE, Madeira Park.
  • Start/Finish - 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM.

  • COURSE DATE: ON DEMAND
  • We require 3 people minimum to conduct a class.
  • $85. Maximum 6 people.

 

 

 

The ADVANCED

Theory:

Week 1

  • One Evening principles of NAVIGATION
  • One Evening practical NAVIGATION
  • One Evening ELECTRONIC CHART PLOTTING / RADAR OPERATION
  • One Evening METEOROLOGY
  • One Evening METEOROLOGY

Week 2

  • One Evening COLLISION REGULATIONS Vessel Related
  • One Evening COLLISION REGULATIONS Operational
  • One Evening MARITIME ACTS & REGULATIONS
  • One Evening ENGINEERING & GENERAL SHIP KNOWLEDGE
  • One Evening VOYAGE PLANNING

Week 3

  • One Evening SHIP STABILITY
  • One Evening TOPICS OF DEPATE, HAZARDS & ACCIDENTS
  • One Evening PCOC Exam

Practical: on the m/v BELDIS or your vessel:

Weekend 1

  • One Day PRE DEPARTURES, ARRIVALS & DOCKINGS (Includes NIGHT TIME DOCKINGS)
    (Starts at 15:00. Return before 22:00.)

  • One Day PRACTICAL NAVIGATION & METEOROLOGY
    (Starts at 10:30. Return before 16:00.)

Weekend 2

  • One Day RADAR & CHART PLOTTING
    (Starts at 10:30. Return before 16:00.)

  • One Day EMERGENCIES & NIGHT CRUISE
    (Starts at 15:00. Return before 22:00.)

PRIVATE

  • One on One, or a Maximum of 4 people allowed in your party.
  • $125 /Night or $275/Day for the THEORY portion.
  • $425 /Day (10 hrs/day Maximum) for the PRACTICAL - YOUR BOAT.
  • If you wish to use the m/v BELDIS, add $250/hr based on AWAY from the DOCK to RETURN.

  • Call Out Fee EXTRA: $30 on the Sunshine Coast outside Madeira Park & Garden Bay.

  • Includes any required instruction up to 3 hours.

  • NOTE - Online Exams are $45+. You do require a proctor to write the exam online - which should be paid $40. The cost of challenging the exam with us is the same and a lot simpler.

  • $425 /Day - Maximum 4 People.
  • One on One on your Vessel or Home/Office (Sunshine Coast or Vancouver).
  • Fully tailorable to your needs, eg. you may wish to learn more about electronic navigation on your boat, or go out at night, etc. YOU SET THE (additional) CRITERIA we will make the curriculum.
  • Includes the PCOC.

 

  
     
 
  • It is mandatory you review the material for the PCOC - click on "START COURSE".
  • Proper Photo Identification is required! (D.L., Passport, BC ID).
  • All materials are published on the web - we stay 'green' - no manuals.

  • PAYMENT is cash only and due on the first day. None Refundable.
  • Outcall's Sunshine Coast are $50 outside Madeira Park.
  • Although we have currently have a 100% pass rate, rewrites are FREE at OUR LOCATION.


  • Upon passing the exam the PCOC is issued on the spot.
  • EVENINGS are 6:30-9:30 PM
  • A DAY does not exceed 6 hours and normally starts at 10:00 AM

  • Our PCOC course is Transport Canada Approved & conducted for AAA Boating Canada.
